The Olive Tree - an original painting acrylic on wood panel, done as one of the illustrations for the Psalms of Praise and Thanksgiving Creative Bible study kit. The artwork illustrated the beautiful fruitful tree from Psalm 1:3 "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does."
Olive trees have a powerful symbolism in the Bible and in our faith: they provide food for the body and burning oil for lamps, anointing, nourishing body and soul. Even the dove brought an olive branch to Noah.
"But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever." Psalm 52:8
