Water and Blood is one of my original acrylic paintings for the "Come with Me" Bible study kit. The artwork is available in the form prayer cards and Fine are prints.
The artwork depicts Jesus on the Cross as witnessed by St. John in John 19:34 “But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water.”
For the prayer card version, the back has this prophetic verse of Christ's passion and the "fountain" of Mercy from Zechariah 12:10; 13:1:
“Then I will pour out on the house of David and on the people of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and prayer, and they will look on Me, the One they have pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.”
The original is an acrylic on wood, 16x20. The artwork is available as a print in various sizes and finishes.
